Day 2 - Brisbane CBD

Friday 18th June 2010
I've got a thing for photos of reflections.
I like how mirrors or windows warp the subject matter, throwing them down an Alice in Wonderland rabbit hole and spitting them out the other side in skewed forms.

I quite like the clock tower that perches above the old town hall. It now overlooks the newly refurbished King George Square.
Gone are the fountains, the pigeon poo-covered statues, and grassy knolls. In their place are vast expanses of concrete and caged trees.

Thank God the council has started holding events there, which bring it to life and inject a happy buzz into the atmosphere.
If you're in Brisbane on July 30 be sure to check out the BrisStyle Indie Twilight Market. It's strung lanterns, handmade goodies, and gorgeously lovely people ... all under the velvet dusky winter's sky.
